We believe that all games should:
Games — as far back in human history that we can determine — have always had the primary purpose in being fun, before anything else. We fashioned for ourselves, even with simple stones and paints, forms of entertainment. Whether it be stories, gambling, or otherwise, we have always sought to find enjoyment in life.
If you can't have fun, why play?
Part of having fun is making sure that everyone has fun. Players shouldn't feel as if they are being punished or favored without reason. Not to say that, from time to time, players can't lose or experience exceptional challenge, but it should not be the priority of anyone to fashion a miserable experience for others.
If you can't be fair, why play?
The best part about any game is seeing something new, doing something you've never done before. As they say, the spice of life is variety. Seeing new sights, solving new puzzles; games should allow you a window into an entirely new world, without being boring. And the best part of any game are the insights and the characters put forward by its players.
If you can't embrace novelty, why play?
This is the mindset we like to have when making anything. Whenever we make a new game or an expansion to one that exists, our priorities will always be to make something Fun, Fair, and Novel.
